Anthem Burst Pipe Repair

Anthem is one of Kyle's newest master-planned communities, in the northwest part of the city, with scenic views, an amenity center and new homes still going up. Many of the people moving in are coming down from Austin and other parts of Central Texas.

Brand-new homes have their own plumbing quirks. A fitting that wasn't fully tightened, a nail through a line behind fresh drywall or construction debris in a drain can all show up in the first months. Water pressure may be set higher than it needs to be, and attic water lines in a new house haven't been tested by a hard Kyle freeze yet. If your home is still under a builder's warranty, a clear record of what failed and why helps when you talk to the builder, and we give you one. When water is pouring out, though, the warranty can wait: the first job is stopping it.

The landscaping in Anthem is new as well. Fresh irrigation systems and backflow preventers sit out in the open until shrubs grow in around them, which leaves them exposed in a hard freeze, and the rolling ground on this side of Kyle means water pressure can run high on some streets, putting extra strain on brand-new fittings.
